Outline Planning Permission is being sought to construct a continuing care retirement community.

The primary aspirations for the development can be summarised as follows:Provision of a Continuing Care Retirement Community (CCRC) for the over 55s.

The goal of continuing care is to maintain the independence of the individual through an active life. Activities such as swimming, walking and gardening will be encouraged to facilitate this.Links with wider community will be encouraged to prevent isolation and a “Country House” ambience will be the key to a strong sense of community spirit within the development itself

Medical and Acute Care

People need people. Studies show that older adults who live in a community setting enjoy greater well-being than those who live alone.

At home, your parent may have limited opportunities to socialise with friends or stay involved with their interests. At Lanbrook, such opportunities are right outside their door, every day. And with discreet support always at hand, they can retain their independence longer and focus their energy on being an active, contributing member of their community

People are living better as a community

than they did when they lived alone.
